The Time Has Come

"Dear Elder Forrester,

You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the California Sacramento Mission....

Your purpose will be to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement...

Greater blessings and more happiness than you have yet experienced await you as you humbly and prayerfully serve the Lord in this labor of love among His children...

Sincerely,
Thomas S. Monson, President
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

"Now behold, a marvelous work is about to come forth among the children of men. Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day. Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work." D&C 4:1-3

Two dear friends of mine who used to live near us in Georgia, Tami Marsh and Shelley Lesley, met Timothy and his companion for lunch.  They were his secret guardian angels while he has been in California!
A wonderful Laotian woman for whom I will always have such gratitude in my heart for, Mae Bhok.  She has taken such good care of Timothy!

This was taken at the baptism of very interesting woman named Sheri that Timothy had the honor of teaching the Gospel to.  Third from left is President Lewis, Timothy's mission president, and the man who is on the far left is Elder Whitney Clayton of the Seventy.

It was almost two years ago that Timothy stood outside of the Salt Lake Temple on his way to check in for his mission at the MTC in Provo.  The time is slipping by, much to his dismay.  When the day comes, I wonder if he will actually leave the mission he loves so much!
