The Time Has Come

"Dear Elder Forrester,

You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the California Sacramento Mission....

Your purpose will be to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement...

Greater blessings and more happiness than you have yet experienced await you as you humbly and prayerfully serve the Lord in this labor of love among His children...

Sincerely,

"Now behold, a marvelous work is about to come forth among the children of men. Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day. Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work." D&C 4:1-3

After nineteen plus years, the day finally came on June 23, 2010 for Timothy to enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah. Here, he is learning the Laotian and Thai languages along with his study of the scriptures. He will remain there for approximately three months, and then move to Sacramento California to serve there. His days begin at 6:00 a.m., and go until 10:00 p.m. Along with all of the study, he is fed well, and also they are given time each day for physical activity.
